Obituary for Janet Ireland
Janet Ireland, 89 of Indiana, PA, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Communities at Indian Haven Nursing Home.
A daughter of James and Margaret (Johnson) Ireland, she was born September 13, 1921, in Sagamore, Pennsylvania.
Janet was of the Episcopalian faith. She had worked as a supervisor with United Telephone Company before retirement. She loved gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her sister, Maryann Allshouse of Indiana, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Alex Ireland; and two sisters: Betty Friedt and Isabel Collins.
Arrangements are all private. Interment will be made in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg, PA.
Her family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 100 S. Sixth St., Indiana, PA 15701.
