Obituary for Naomi Grace Emigh (Ober)

Naomi Grace (Ober) Emigh, 86 of Clymer, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Rustic Manor Personal Care Home.

She was born on September 27, 1927 in Clymer, PA., to George and Nora (Myers) Ober.

Naomi graduated from Clymer High School. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang for many years in the church choir and as a soloist at various churches. She was an active and charter member of the Kenwood Penns Manor Church of the Nazarene, serving in many capacities. Naomi had a passion for missions and served for over forty years as the local missions president at her church.

She retired from the Penns Manor Area School District. Naomi loved to crochet, giving many gifts to her church friends. She loved to read and travel. Naomi and her husband, Paul, took many trips in their motorhome. A gifted seamstress, she sewed many gowns for brides and bridal parties. She loved having her family at one big table for the holiday meals.

Surviving are one daughter, Jane (Robert) Lute of Clymer; three sons, James (Mary Lou) of Clymer; George (Judy) of Penn Run; Edward (Marion) of Clymer; five grandsons, Douglas Lute of Oxford, OH; Gregory Lute of Bellefonte; Jason Emigh of Clymer; Alan Emigh of Chantilly, VA; Justin Spencer of Clymer; six great-grandchildren, Hannah and Gabriel Emigh of Clymer; Christopher and Alexander Lute of Oxford, OH; Isabella and Samantha Emigh of VA; Sisters-in-law, June Emigh and Helen Louise Ober; a special friend, Donald Donahey and many nieces and nephews.

Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul Emigh; one son, Rodney; three brothers, Galen, Clyde and Clarence Ober; one sister, Leona Buterbaugh.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home Clymer. Her funeral service will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor William Degenkolb, officiating. Interment will follow in the Diamondville Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank VNA Hospice, Pastor William Degenkolb, Deborah Robertson of Rustic Manor and staff at Indian Haven.
