Obituary for Mary Louise Flack (Wanchisn)

Mary Louise  Flack (Wanchisn)
Mary Louise (Wanchisn) Flack, 71, of Clymer, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born in Indiana, PA on May 13, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Frank Wanchisn and Ellen (Kochman) Wanchisn. She was widowed June 4, 1990 from her husband of twelve years, Frank Flack.

She was a 1962 graduate of Penns Manor Area High School. She worked at home, raising her two daughters, Margaret and Claudia. Mary Louise enjoyed playing Bingo, polka dances, gardening, walking, caring for her dogs, shopping, and visiting with her friends.

She was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Greek Orthodox Catholic Church where she had been an active member.

Survived by her daughters: Margaret Ann McLaughlin and her boyfriend, Tim Askew and Claudia Milissa Flack, both of Clymer. Other survivors include: her aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Michael Holuta, Indiana; aunt Helen Wanchisn, Ohio; brother-in-law, Stanley Flack, Novi, MI; sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Flack, Largo, FL and Beth Flack, Plymouth, MI; She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as by her dogs, Buddy, Oscar, Donald and Junior.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her best friend, Donald Earehart.

Friends will be received Wednesday, May 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. A Panachida Service will begin at seven o’clock Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will begin at 10AM Thursday morning at St. Michael’s Greek Orthodox Catholic Church, Clymer. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The Flack Family extends a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at St. Andrews Village, Indiana Regional Medical Center (especially the 6th floor), home caregivers Dolores Cramer and Tammy Giles.
