Obituary for Edward A Tomechko
Edward A. Tomechko, 87, of West Salem, OH, formerly of Starford, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Ashland Hospice of North Central Ohio. Born in Starford on August 11, 1926 he was a son of the late Joseph Tomechko and Anna (Miketko) Tomechko. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley A. (Pluto) Tomechko who died January 12, 1998.
Edward is survived by his two sons: Tom Tomechko and wife, Laura and Albert Tomechko and wife, Terri both of Ohio. His surviving grandchildren are: Megan and Nicholas. He is also survived by his brother, Rich Tomechko, Cleveland.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Joe.
He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
Friends will be received from 3 – 7 PM Friday at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday afternoon at one o’clock at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer. Rev. George Saletrik, celebrant. Interment will be in the Church of the Resurrection Cemetery, Starford.
