Obituary for Peter A. Yackuboskey

Peter A. Yackuboskey, 80 of Clymer, PA., passed away on December 14, 2014 at his home.

He was the son of Michael and Anna (Vershute) Yackuboskey, born on July 5, 1934 in Williamstown, PA.

Pete was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer. He worked as a coal miner and retired from Greensteel-Polyvision in 1997. Pete loved hunting, gardening, and being with his family all of his nieces and nephews he also volunteered for church functions at the Church of the Resurrection. Pete also did landscaping on his own for many years.

He is survived by one brother, Michael Yackuboskey and wife Joyce of Indiana; one sister, Bertha Castiglione of Cranberry; and by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews including a special great-nephews, Robert with whom he resided and David who was a special caregiver to Pete.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hazel (Swab) Yackuboskey of 43 years; 15 brothers and sister, Anthony, Agnes Sibley, Ann Coughlin, Mary Ferrara, Stanley, William, John, Joseph, Steven, Pauline, Martha, infant Anna, infant Helen, infant Barbara, and infant Paul.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer. Pete’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer with Fr. George Saletrik as celebrant. Interment will be in the Church of the Resurrection Cemetery, Clymer.
