Walter Glenn "Bugs" Foreback
Walter Glenn “Bugs” Foreback, 77, of Penn Run, died peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in McCandless, PA at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Chris and John. Born in Soldier, PA on September 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Walter L. and Dorothy G. Foreback.

On December 6, 2006 he was widowed from his beloved wife of 46 years, Evelyn J. (Greek) Foreback.

Walter worked in the coal mines for nearly 30 years. He retired from Greenwich Collieries in 1989.

He enjoyed watching FOX News, especially Bill O’Reilly. Walter collected Fenton, Indiana, and Dugan Glass, enjoyed playing poker with his brothers, attending auctions, military history and savored the perfect cup of Maxwell House Instant Coffee. He also enjoyed deer hunting, cheering on the Penguins and Steelers and sitting on his porch listening to the wind and the rain. He loved being with his family, but he always said that the number one love of his life was his wife, Jeannie.

Walter was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer. He also belonged to the Clymer Slovak Club, and Dixonville MOOSE.

He served in the U.S. Army between 1956 and 1958 where he was a member of the 3rd Armored Division.

He is survived by children: Christina M. Cassidy & husband, John, of McCandless Township and John Michael “Mike” Foreback and his wife Sandy, of Clymer, and four grandchildren: Connor Cassidy, Sandy, UT; Mitchell Foreback, Clymer; Nicholas Foreback, Clymer; and Drew Cassidy, McCandless Township. His surviving siblings are: Bill Foreback & wife, Debbie, Seven Hills, OH; Frank Foreback & wife, Carol, Clymer; Linda Welling & husband, Bob, Kittanning; Denny Foreback & wife, Robin, Pittsburgh; and Debbie Sarno & husband, Primo whom Walter called his “Honorary Brother”, Cheswick. He was Uncle Bugs to his numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Raymond “Cork” Foreback and sister, Judith “Hun” Starr.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM on Tuesday, February 10th at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana where his funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 AM. Rev. Timothy Kruthaupt will officiate. Burial will be in the Church of the Resurrection Cemetery, Clymer.
