Obituary for Nancy Ann Yamrick (Vetto)

Nancy Ann Yamrick (Vetto)
Nancy Ann (Vetto) “Nana” Yamrick, 88, of Clymer, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Titus) Vetto, she was born in Colver on May 2, 1926. She was the widow of John Stephen Yamrick, her husband of 55 years who died July 27, 2006.

Nana, as she was known by her those who treasured her, loved to cook for her family and friends and always proud to share her recipes to be embraced by all. She was more than a consummate homemaker, she loved and cared for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. They were the center of her life. She enjoyed watching her daily “soaps”, occasional casino trips and visiting garage sales; teaching the younger generations of the good deals that could be found through making fun memories of those days shared together. Nothing made her happier than spending precious time and watching her ever-growing family expand to what it is today. Her home was filled with warmth and pictures which made her smile with each glance of the people who made her world whole. We will forever cherish her memory and let it live on.

She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Heilwood.

Nancy is survived by her children: Mary “Jackie” Harris Sichko & husband, Gary, Clymer; Sam Harris & wife, Becky, Defiance, OH; Joe Yamrick & wife, Regina, Heilwood; Jayne (Yamrick) Rebovich & husband, Tom, Clymer; Michael Yamrick & wife, Patty, Burnside and John Yamrick & wife, Erika, Clymer. Nana is survived by 27 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Lorraine Francis & husband, Stew, Indiana and Lucille Walker, Nicktown. Additionally she is survived by her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her infant son, John Frank “Batchie” Yamrick, along with 5 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday, April 24th from 4-8PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, of Clymer. A second visitation will begin Saturday afternoon at one o’clock at the funeral home, followed by her funeral service at 2 PM. Rev. Timothy Kruthaupt will officiate.
