Obituary for Marjorie Iseman (Jamison)

Marjorie  Iseman (Jamison)
Marjorie Jean (Jamison) Iseman, 92, of Indiana, died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. The daughter of George Rankin Jamison and Sarah (Orr) Jamison, she was born in Plumville on September 23, 1922.

She married Clarence Wilber Iseman on July 19, 1941 in Nickleville, PA with George and Sarah Jamison (her parents) and Paul and Sarah Stuchell (his aunt and uncle) attending. Their marriage spanned 51 years until his death on September 16, 1992.

A graduate of the Plumville High School Class of 1940, her youthful years where filled with friends, roller skating, girls basketball, cheerleading and big band dancing. Those were grand times for Marjorie and she took great joy in recounting her younger days in Plumville and attending the Plumville Presbyterian Church.

She was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. Later in life she worked in the housekeeping department at Indiana Hospital.

She is survived by her children: Douglas A. Iseman & wife, Joyce, Homer City; Donald E. Iseman, Shelocta; and Cindy L. (Iseman) DeCarlo & her partner, James Willis, Indiana. She is also survived by: 2 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 1 step-grandson, 5 great grandsons, three great granddaughters and a special friend of the family, Edward Frye.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by: sons, James Paul Iseman and Clarence Jeffrey Iseman; daughter-in-law, Mary Iseman; siblings, Gertrude L. Elkin, Eleanor A. Wilson, Carl Jamison and 2 infant brothers; sister-in-law, Betty Jamison.

Friends will be received Saturday, July 18th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM the time of her funeral service at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Pastor Denny Marshall will officiate. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
