Obituary for Terry Lynn Vallies

Terry Lynn  Vallies
Terry Lynn Vallies, 53, of Kutztown, PA, died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Terry was born July 13, 1962 in Indiana, the son of the late Charles E. Vallies, Sr. and Mazie Annetta (Fleming) Vallies, of Shelocta.

Terry was a graduate of Indiana High School and was self-employed as a welder. He served in the US Army for 3 years enlistment.

He was a member of Plumcreek Church of the Brethren.

In his younger years, he was employed by Yarnick’s Farm in Creekside. He was a member of the Kutztown Gun Club and enjoyed roasting hogs and riding dirt bikes.

He is survived by his mother, Mazie, daughter Katie Marie Vallies, of Kutztown and three sons. His siblings: Deidre Ann (Dave) Houllion, of Shelocta; David Shawn Vallies (Vivian Prugh), of Hamburg; Charles Eugene Vallies, Jr., of Shelocta; and Heather Linette (Matt) Yonkoske, of Natrona Heights, also survive him. He is also survived by his companion, Shandi Weaver, of Kutztown.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 21st from 4PM-9PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, of Indiana, 965 Philadelphia St. His funeral will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 22nd at 11AM, Pastor Randy Derck, presiding. Interment will be in the Elderton Cemetery, Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to help defray funeral expenses.
