Obituary for Stanley S. Urgolites


Stanley Steven Urgolites, 64, of Clymer, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born in Spangler, May 12, 1952, he was a son of the late, Stanley A. Urgolites and Mary (Goolish) Urgolites. Stan was the husband of Alma Louise (Mountain) Urgolites.

He was a graduate of Cambria Heights High School, Patton and had taken classes at the Penn State Altoona Campus. He served in the U.S. Army where he was a Sergeant, stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.

For the past ten years or so, Stan was an over the road flatbed truck driver. He loved to travel and see new places. Stan was a hard working man who enjoyed going to work. He was always busy. He also liked to play his guitar and occasionally go fishing.

In addition to his wife, Alma, he is survived by his step-children: Jim Wilson and wife, Shelly, Shelocta and Sara Hunter, Colorado. He is also survived by his brother, John P. Urgolites and his wife, Karen, Ebensburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Evans and infant sister, Margaret Urgolites.

Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, June 30th at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer , where his funeral service will begin at seven o’clock Thursday evening at the funeral home. Rev. Ramon Degenkolb will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at the Smicksburg Cemetery
