Obituary for Mary Ann Yanity (Wincek)
Mary Ann (Wincek) Yanity, 87, of Homer City, died at her home, July 17, 2016. She was the widow of Tony R. Yanity, who predeceased her in 2000. The daughter of Henry P. and Cecelia (Dewalt) Wincek, she was born March 12, 1929 in Coral. She married her husband Tony Yanity on July 3, 1961. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters Tonitti Adamson and her husband, Richard, of Homer City and Tracey Yanity and her husband Dave Soverns, of New Market Maryland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nathan Adamson, Chuck Soverns, Gina Cunningham and Tavia Soverns. The following sisters: Helen Morgan (Chuck), of Josephine; Shirley Hodak (George), of Dixonville; and, Barbara Clark (Jim), of Indiana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Tom Wincek, Henry Wincek, Cecilia Szabo, Margaret Fertal and Mildred Penrose.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 21st from 7-9PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 22nd at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Chruch in Lucernmines, Rev. Ron Cykor, Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
