Obituary for Robert "Bob" Tocci

Robert Frank “Bob” Tocci, 86, of Indiana, died at his home following an extended illness on July 28, 2016. Born in Indiana on May 1, 1930, he was a son of the late Frank Antonio Tocci and Olive Ruth (Hoover) Tocci.

He was the widowed from his wife of nearly 63 years, Sarah R. (Uvena) Tocci who died June 18, 2015.

Bob was a graduate of Indiana High School. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War before returning home and starting a 40 year career at FMC in Homer City. Following his retirement, Bob enjoyed working for Colonial Motors in Indiana where he drove and delivered vehicles for nearly 15 years.

He enjoyed hunting with his brothers when they were younger and loved walking his “daughter’s” dogs, Izzy and Gabby, and taking them for rides in the car.

Bob was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church in Indiana where he was a former Usher and Greeter.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Juart and her husband, Tom of Ernest. Other survivors include his siblings: Jean Steele, Pawleys Island, SC; Dick Tocci & wife, Joanne, Arizona; Sally Ann Duke, New Jersey; Joseph Michael Tocci & wife, Betty, New Jersey and Tom Tocci & wife, Maria, Myrtle Beach, SC. Bob’s remaining survivors include his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Angelo Tocci.

Friends will be received Monday, August 1st from 2:00 until 7:00PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church in Indiana. Entombment with military honors will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Bob’s family wishes to thank his caregivers: Natoshia, Shawntelle, Brittany and the VNA Hospice of Indiana County.

Due to his love of dogs and animals, Bob’s family is asking that memorial donations may be made to: Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Rd, Indiana, PA 15701, or to the Humane Society of Indiana County, 191 Airport Rd, Indiana, PA 15701.
