Obituary for Robert Deitman

Robert  Deitman
Robert E. Deitman, 87, of Clymer, died August 11, 2016 at Beacon Ridge in Indiana. Born, January 19, 1929, in Cookport, he was a son of John and Grace (Boucher) Deitman.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to hunting camp with his family. He enjoyed summer yard work. He loved going to the Cookport Fair and spending time with his family and friends. Bob was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Bob will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his brother Jim’s family, with whom he lived for over 60 years. They include Sharon Muenz, Ed Deitman, Kirt Deitman, LouAnn Miller, Todd Deitman (deceased), David Deitman, and Eric Deitman. He is also survived by the following siblings: Carl “Butch” Deitman, Carmel Valley, CA; Judy McDonald, Indianapolis, IN; and Lois Whiting, Santa Rosa, CA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by these siblings: Rudell Goodlin, Leland “Tip” Goodlin, Dorothy Ryan, Lucille Brilhart, Janice Super, Patty Rankin and Mildred Bash and brothers Don, John, Jim and Bill Deitman. He was also preceded by special sister-in-law, Phyllis (Beer) Deitman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Sunday, August 14th from 4-8 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. Robert’s funeral service will be held Monday, August 15th at 2:30 PM at the funeral home, Rev. Bob White presiding. Interment will be in Cookport Methodist Cemetery.
