Obituary for Betty Ann Dalton (Weiss)

Betty Ann  Dalton (Weiss)
Betty Ann (Weiss) Dalton, 71, of rural Clymer, Rayne Twp., unexpectedly died following a month long illness, Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Punxsutawney Hospital. Born in Rayne Township, August 13, 1945, she was a daughter of the late, Clair Oren Weiss and Wilda Ann (Neudorfer) Weiss. She was married to her husband of 49 years, John L. Dalton, whom she married, July 10, 1967.

A graduate of Marion Center High School, Betty was a homemaker who cared for her family. She loved to knit and had just won 3rd place at the Indiana County Fair for an afghan she made. She loved her family and adored her two granddaughter’s, Natasha and Alyssia. She also enjoyed going to auctions and being with her beloved dog, Peanut. Betty always enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, during his days as a truck driver.

She was a member of the Tanoma United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her daughters: Lorretta Lynn Dalton, Indiana and Tracy Lee Feracioly & husband, Gregory, Fairmount City. Other survivors include: grandchildren, Natasha Marie Ulichnie, Creekside and Alyssia Marie Stewart, Fairmount City: siblings, Barbara Lipsie & husband, Tom of Indiana; Debra Coffman & husband, Sonny, Brush Valley and Constance Alexander & husband, Jed of Home. Betty is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and her many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and the following siblings: Frank E. Weiss, Peter Weiss, James Weiss and Sharon Truitt.

Friends will be received Tuesday, September 6, from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer where her funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at eleven o’clock. Pastor Kathy Mihoerck will officiate.
