Obituary for Larry J. Gaston

Larry J.  Gaston
Lawrence “Larry” J. Gaston, 58, of Barr Slope, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at home surrounded by family. He was born July 25, 1958 in Cleveland, OH and was a son of Mary (Sarnovsky) Gaston, Dixonville and the late Larry Gaston.

Over the years, Larry worked for McNaughton Brothers in Indiana and later became a brick layer doing masonry work for various local contractors.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, following the Steelers and loved his dog “TP”.

In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 38 years, Wanda (Brady) Gaston of Barr Slope, two children: Jason E. Gaston & fiancé Christine Wixted, Barr Slope; and Melissa A. Gaston Troup & husband, Eric, Clymer. Also, survived by his five grandchildren: Kelsey Babco, Kaylee Babco, Ryan Babco, Cheyenne Gaston, Jaidon Gaston, and a great granddaughter to be: EmilyAnn Mae. Two brothers: David Gaston, Dixonville; and Tony Gaston, Indiana. Larry is also survived by his brother–in –laws, sister-in–laws and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry who passed June 16, 1988 and a son, Joseph A. Gaston who passed July 23, 2014.

Friends and families will be received Saturday, February 25th, from noon -2:00PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00PM. Deacon Stephen Black of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
