Obituary for Donald Eugene Vasbinder

Donald Eugene Vasbinder, 69, Diamondville unexpectedly died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his cousin, Ken Buterbaugh’s home in Diamondville. Born in Indiana, May 11, 1947, he was a son of the late Clarence Lyle Vasbinder and Edna Fay (Buterbaugh) Vasbinder

Don was a graduate of Penns Manor High School. Over the years he worked for Greensteel in Dixonville, he did some farming work and later was employed by Baker Hughes Gas Company where he worked on gas wells.

He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his four wheeler.

He’s survived by his sister, Linda Huston and husband, Ray, State College and many nieces and nephews, including his nephew Michael Vasbinder whom he lived with in Diamondville.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Vasbinder.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 24th at 11 AM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. Rev. Robert White will officiate. Burial of his cremated remains will be in the East Mahoning Cemetery, Purchase Line.
