Obituary for Richard J. Nastase Sr.

Richard J.  Nastase Sr.
Richard Joseph Nastase, Sr., 64, of Indiana, passed away unexpectedly after a brief stay at Indiana Regional Medical Center on Saturday, June 10, 2017. He is the son of the late Joseph A. and Isabel H. (Visnesky) Nastase.

He was born in Indiana, PA on May 28, 1953. A graduate of Marion Center High School, Richard was employed by: Robertshaw Controls, Fisher Scientific, Indian Haven Nursing Home and St. Bernard School, all of Indiana. He also employed at both the Indiana and Blairsville Wal-Mart stores. Richard gave his employers his best and took pride in his work

Richard enjoyed the outdoors and especially liked to go hunting, fishing and camping. He also found pleasure gardening and always shared the fruits of his labors with his family and friends. His kind heart was noticed by whomever he befriended.

He is survived by his two sons: Richard J. Nastase, Jr. of Black Lick and his fiancee, Kimberly McAdams and Bret Nastase, of Irwin, and 2 grandchildren: Isabelle and Ethan Nastase. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Hamilton, her husband and their 2 sons of Connecticut and his brother, Robert Nastase of Marchand.

Friends will be received Monday evening, June 19, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana, Pa . A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 20th at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More University Parish, Indiana. Interment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana, Pa.
