Obituary for Linda S. Bell (Brown)

Linda S. (Brown) Bell, 63 of Homer City, died at her home, Friday July 21, 2017. Born March 9, 1954 in Indiana, she was a daughter to Mary (White) Brown, Penn Run and the late William Clair Brown. She was the widow of the late Daniel L. Bell who died in 2005.

She was a graduate of Penns Manor High School where she was the first female in Pennsylvania and the United States to be in the Vocational Agriculture program. She was a former bus driver for the Berlin Brothersvalley School District. She was also known by residents in the Clymer area as a cook at the former Stony Bank Restaurant.

Linda had attended Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Indiana. She enjoyed painting and volunteering at the Humane Society.

In addition to her mother, Linda will be remembered by her son, Douglas L. Bell, Homer City; four grandchildren: Jacob, Isaac, Michael and Quintin Bell; and siblings: Kenneth Brown and Karen Vehovic Green.

In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana is in charge of her cremation arrangements.
