Obituary for Angeline L. "Angie" Terlion (Kosmac)

Angeline L. "Angie" Terlion (Kosmac)
Angeline “Angie” Loretta Terlion, 93, of Penn Run, peacefully passed away, Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Indiana Square Personal Care Home. Born July 7, 1924 in Heilwood, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kosmac and Francesca (Vodesik) Kosmac. She was also the widow of Daniel “Ben” Terlion, who passed away thirty-six years ago.

Having grown up in Heilwood, Angie was a former member of St. Patrick’s Church at Cameron’s Bottom. She was presently a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Heilwood.

Angie was a busy lady. In addition to being a mother and grandmother, she worked in her vegetable garden, grafted fruit trees and canned much of her harvest so it could be enjoyed throughout the year. She also liked to enter exhibits in local community fairs. She drove to flea markets, auctions and held many yard sales. Angie never passed up an opportunity to play cards. She would play card games anytime of the day or night. She was also an avid Bingo player who could play up to fifty cards per game. Angie would often drive throughout the area just to play bingo, sometimes playing at two locations on the same day.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Heilwood American Legion Post 936, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cherryhill Twp. Volunteer Fire Department. She was a member of the Pine Township Board of Elections and the Twolick Valley Senior Center in Clymer. However, through all of her activities and hobbies, Angie always made time for her family, especially her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her two children: Daniel Terlion (Jane), of Pittsburgh, and Darlene Rizzo (John), of Heilwood. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Annie Rizzo and Johnny Rizzo, both of Heilwood; sister-in-law, LaRue Terlion, of Indiana; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Angie was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianne Terlion, who passed away eleven short months ago; her brothers, Joseph, Henry and Valentine Kosmac; her sisters, Mary Ellrich and Fanny Kosmac; and two infant siblings.

Friends will be received Thursday, August 3rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at eleven o’clock at St. Patrick’s Church at Cameron’s Bottom. Rev. George Saletrik will be the celebrant. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cherryhill Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. Online condolences may be made at: rbfh.net.
