Obituary for Nancy L. Patrick

Nancy Louise Patrick, 64 years of age of Clune, died Wednesday August 30, 2017, at the Scenery Hill Manor. She was born to the late George “Sam” Patrick and Helen (Schroth) Patrick, on December 7, 1953.

She graduated from Apollo Ridge High School in 1971 and later went on to graduate from IUP with two bachelor degrees’ in Nutrition and Library Science. Nancy was formally a food service manager at the Rustic Lodge. She also had worked at Folger & Foster dining halls at IUP and at Hoss’s Restaurant in Indiana where she was a food prep specialist.

Nancy loved animals- especially horses and her dogs. She had expert knowledge in horses, orchids, and fish. Everyone consulted her with questions about plants and animals. Nancy enjoyed working outdoors especially in her daylily flower garden which she shared with many friends and family.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Patrick, Clune; nephew, Sam (Tre) Patrick, New Oxford; niece, Stacy (Nick) Lippert, Pittsburgh; and numerous cousins and loving friends who loved and appreciated her for her kindness and generosity.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother: George Patrick, Jr.

There will be no visitation or memorial service at this time. Service arrangements will be planned for a later date. The Patrick family is being assisted by the Rairigh-Bence Funeral of Indiana.
