Obituary for James Richard Mannion

James Richard  Mannion
James Richard Mannion, 55 of Indiana, died surrounded by family at UPMC Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, Thursday, November 2, 2017. Born August 31, 1962, he is the son of Rose (Faust) Mannion of Indiana, and the late J. Robert Mannion.
He was a graduate of Indiana High School, and later went to work as a car detailer for Mark Arbuckle Nissan of Indiana. He also had been employed by the Indiana County Recycling Center.
James was an outdoorsman and loved fishing. He was especially proud of having fished in every pond in Indiana. He also enjoyed camping and his time spent in the Boy Scouts, Troop 27 of Indiana.
In addition to his mother, James is survived by his daughter: Jessica Dernus, Pittsburgh. His two grandchildren: Avery and Hudson Dernus. Siblings: Kathleen Slowik, Pittsburgh; Michael Mannion (Bonnie), Salisbury, MD; and Susan Mannion, Raleigh, NC; and his nieces and nephews: Nathan Stiles, Sarah Slowik, Alex Slowik, and Gabriella Imbasciani.
He is preceded in death by his father in 2006, and sister Margaret Rose “Peggy” Stiles in 2010.
A visitation will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church Monday morning, November 6 from 10:30 to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM following the visitation. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Bernard Regional Catholic School: 300 Clairvaux Drive, Indiana, PA 15701.
