Obituary for Christian Davis McDaniel

Christian Davis  McDaniel
Christian Davis McDaniel, 42 of Irwin, formerly of Locust Grove, GA, unexpectedly died Friday, March 9, 2018 in Clymer. Born in Albany, GA, May 27, 1975, he was a son of George Stanley McDaniel, Locust Grove, GA and the late Suzanne (Faulkner) McDaniel. He was married to Kerri Jean (Goodlin) McDaniel for nearly ten years. They were married June 14, 2008.

He was a graduate of Mount Zion High School, Jonesboro, GA. He later served more than seven years in the U.S. Navy where he was a Chinese linguist. After his discharge, Christian worked as a cement mason for the past sixteen years. He was a past member of Labor Union Local 1058 of Pittsburgh and was a current member of the Cement Masons Local 526 of Pittsburgh.

Christian was a member of the Norwin Christian Church.

He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and cooking for his family and friends. Christian also liked to play his guitar, sing and spread the word of God.

In addition to his wife and father, Christian is survived by his children: Alanna Burgoyne, Grand Junction, CO; Ian McDaniel, Rossiter, PA; and Hayden McDaniel, Irwin. His surviving siblings are: Dustin Chey McDaniel (Mandy), Griffin, GA; Aaron Kirk McDaniel (Jennifer), Griffin, GA and Chelsea McDaniel, St. Petersburg, FL. Other survivors include his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Friends will be received Thursday, March 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. Christian’s funeral service will be Friday afternoon, March 16th at 1 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Terry Erwin, his pastor, will officiate. Interment will be private following cremation.
