Obituary for Beatrice R. "Patty" Barr (McDermott)
Pat Barr, 87 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, formerly of Diamondville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday July 22, 2018 at Cedar Crest Nursing Facility in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Pat was born in Diamondville, June 8th 1931 to the late Leonard and Etta (Bracken) McDermott. She was a member of the Pine Flats Christian Church in Pine Flats.
She was married to the late Edward C. Barr on May 19, 1951 and lived in Greenville, PA for many years before returning to Diamondville. She had a passion for working in her yard and tending to her family. After the death of her husband, she moved to Tulsa, OK to be close to her only daughter, Linda Zuschlag, husband Ron and grandson Daniel and his wife Miranda.
She enjoyed the new adventures in Oklahoma and being close to her family and will be missed by all.
In addition to her daughter Linda and her family, Pat is survived by one sister, Betty Wissinger of Commodore. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and the following siblings: Alberta Bash; Genevieve Weiss Hood; Ruby Stockner; and brothers, Tom, Ray and Paul McDermott.
Friends will be received Friday, July 27th from Noon until 2:00 PM, the time of her funeral service, at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. Pastor Donald Harr will officiate. Burial will be in the McDowell Cemetery, Green Twp.
