Obituary for C. Jean Dobish (Fyock)

Jean Dobish, 91, of Clymer, died peacefully at her home, Saturday, November 10, 2018. Born April 21, 1927, she was a daughter of the late, Harvey Fyock and Gussie May (McCachren) Fyock. She was the widow of Harry Dobish who died August 22, 1984. The two were married August 14, 1945. Through 39 years of marriage, they raised five daughters.

Jean was a graduate of Marion Center High School and a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Clymer. She worked as a homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, doing word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed singing and playing her guitar for her family.

She’ll be remembered by her daughters: Linda Helman (James), Durham, NC; Vicky Pizer (Frank, Jr.), Indiana; Cindy Kostella (Edward), Indiana; and Julie A. Kocher (Walter), Greenville, SC. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Donald Ginter, Punxsutawney. Other surviving family members include her four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Ginter, as well as two grandsons, two sisters and three brothers.

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 14th from 11AM until 1PM, the time of her funeral service, at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. Rev. James McCaulley, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the Brethren Cemetery in Penn Run.
