Obituary for Julie M. Sadler (Clune)

Peacefully with her family at her side, Julie Meggan Sadler ( nee Clune), age 37, passed away on Monday November 26, 2018 in Indiana, Pennsylvania as a result of colorectal cancer.

Born, July 14, 1981 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Julie was the darling daughter of Kelly Clune and Donald Clune ( Peggy Hornell), and the beloved wife and college sweetheart of Ben, loving and devoted mother of Charlotte and James. She was a best friend and sister to Jacquie (nee Clune) Lang and her husband Tim; Jeffrey Clune and Jordon Clune and his fiancée Grace Lassak. She was a devoted and magical aunt to Nathaniel, Bennett and Allie Lang; Bryan, Paisley and Bradley Clune.

Julie was the cherished granddaughter of Sally Blaney and Anne Clune, and remarkable niece of Karen Bell (Larry), Brad Blaney , Patricia Clune, Beth Clune, Frances Fraumeni (Paul), Barb Cook (Brian), Tom Clune (Anne Marie) and Sarah Darroch (Rae Thurston).

Julie was the treasured daughter-in-law of Debbie and James Sadler, loving sister-in –law to Jeremy Sadler and his wife Kate Hamilton and special aunt of Miles Sadler.

Julie will be deeply missed by her many cousins: Duncan and Cameron McIlroy; Brian and Carly McCarthy; Glenna and Sam Fraumeni; Richard, Matthew and Ben Clune; William Darroch; Candace, Caroline and Kyle Blaney; and Andrew, Spencer and Evan Bell. Other survivors include her countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Jim Blaney and Don Clune, as well as her grandparents – in – law, James E. Mariam Sadler. Other predeceased family members include: uncle, Rev. Robert B. Clune and cousin, Nicholas Fraumeni.

She was a graduate of the Orillia District & Collegiate and Vocational Institute near her childhood home in Canada. She later graduated from Elmira College in Elmira, NY where she met and fell in love with her husband, Ben. Julie was President and a beloved player of the Indiana Women’s Football League.

Julie brought her beautiful smile, caring and considerate nature, and boundless energy to everything she did. She leaves good friends in so many communities in Canada and the United States: Orillia, Toronto, Elmira and Rochester, NY and Indiana PA.

Julie’s family is extremely grateful and overwhelmed by the love and support they have been shown over the past months.

Following Julie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her beautiful life will be held in early 2019 in both Indiana, PA and Toronto, Canada. Service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
