Obituary for Ida Amelia Violi (Bonacci)

Ida Amelia (Bonacci) Violi, 85, of Indiana, PA., passed away on Friday June 28, 2013 at the Communities of Indian Haven.

She was the daughter of Angelo and Mary (Morock) Bonacci, born on April 10, 1928 in Indiana, PA.

Mrs. Violi was employed by Penn Dot and later retired from the PA State Health Clinic of Indiana. She was married for 58 years to her late husband Louis J. Violi and was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church in Indiana. Ida spent her retirement years golfing with her husband and enjoying time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Rodney L. and wife Connie and Gary M. and wife Bonnie, all of Indiana,

PA; five grandchildren, Courtney, Kristy, Jennifer, Alison and Michael; a great-granddaughter, Izabella; one sister, Mae Caruso and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis J. Violi; five brothers, Tony, Louie, Joseph, Ebert, and Victor and two sisters, Mary Nastase and Jane George.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Indiana. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Federline as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
