Obituary for Nickole Lee "Nickie" Novak (Carricato)
Nickole Lee (Carricato) Novak, 27, of Indiana, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, as the result of a fire at her home. Born October 28, 1986, in Natrona Heights, she was a daughter of Denise A. Carricato and Richard Wayne Morrill. She was the fiancée of Shawn Marsh, who also perished in the fire.
Nickie attended Lenape Vo-Tech in Ford City and graduated from Cambria Rowe Business School. She was employed by Diamond Drugs of Indiana as a medical transcriptionist.
She was a loving mother to her three children. She loved being with Eva, Gabby and Shawn, Jr. as much as possible. She also enjoyed fishing and camping.
She is survived by her parents and two of her children, Eva Nickole and Shawn Matthew Marsh, Jr., who lived at home in Indiana. She is also survived by her siblings Daniel Carricato, of Butler and Crystal Gorman of Iselin. Her maternal grandfather survives her in Titusville, FL.
She was joined in death by her fiancé, Shawn Marsh and her daughter, Gabriella Marie. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Roberta Ann Carricato.
Visitation is Thursday, May 22 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana, 965 Philadelphia St. in Indiana. Classmates of the children are welcomed. A joint memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM Friday afternoon at Graystone Presbyterian Church, 640 Church Street in Indiana. Rev. William Degenkolb, of Kenwood Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.
A trust fund has been established for the surviving children: Trust for Benefit of Eva Novak and Shawn Marsh, Jr., c/o Indiana First Bank, 935 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA 15701.
