Gabbriella Marie Novak, 9, of Indiana, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, as the result of a fire at her home. Born December 4, 2004, in Indiana, she was a daughter of Nickole Novak and Shawn Marsh, both of whom also perished in the fire.

Gabby was a third grade student at Ben Franklin Elementary School. She was very affectionate and loved to give kisses. She enjoyed playing with hats, dancing and posing for pictures. She also liked to communicate using sign language. She was loved by her family and by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sister Eva Nickole and by her brother, Shawn M. Marsh, Jr. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Denise Carricato and Richard Morrill, of Butler as well as her paternal grandmother, Kathleen Rae Marsh of Indiana and by her paternal grandfather, Ronald Q. Marsh and his wife Judy, of Enola.

She was joined in death by her parents, Nickole Novak and Shawn Marsh. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Roberta Ann Carricato.

Visitation is Thursday, May 22 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana, 965 Philadelphia St. in Indiana. Classmates of the children are welcomed. A joint memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM Friday afternoon at Graystone Presbyterian Church, 640 Church Street in Indiana. Rev. William Degenkolb, of Kenwood Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.
