Obituary for Mary Ann Zurga (Symmonds)

Mary Ann (Symmonds) Zurga, 68 of Indiana, PA., passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at her home.

She was the daughter of George and Annrita (Wogan) Symmonds, born on June 4, 1946 in Beaver Falls, PA.
Mary Ann was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Clymer.

She was an LPN in her early years moving on to Sales Manager at 422 Home Sales. Mary Ann Loved going to the ocean and working in her flower gardens. Her cherished time was sitting on her deck in the summer with her family. Mary Ann had a love for music she played the accordion and the drums.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Eugene P. “Butch” Zurga of Indiana; three children, Nick Zurga and wife Kelly of Flourtown, PA; Paula McGinnis and fiancée, Mark Gerber of Indiana, PA; Linda Zurga of Cranberry, PA; three grandchildren, Gabriel Zurga and Katelyn and Morgan McGinnis; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Symmonds.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, Heilwood with Fr. Timothy Kruthaupt, celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Cameron’s Bottom. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Indiana VNA Hospice, 300 Hospital Dr., Indiana, PA 15701.
