Obituary for Margaret Opalenick

Margaret  Opalenick
Margaret Opalenick, 88, of Indiana, formerly of Ernest, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Scenery Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Ernest on December 26, 1927, she was a daughter of the late, Michael Opalenick and Anna (Simetish) Opalenick.

During her working career, Margaret was a grocery clerk at the A&P Grocery store in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh.

She was an avid gardener who tended her flower and vegetable gardens at home. She was also an avid reader and was known by her family as a “collector of everything”.

Margaret is survived by her brother, John Opalenick and his wife, Barbara, Murrysville. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her siblings: George, Charles and Michael Opalenick and Helen Humenik.

Friends will be received Wednesday morning, May 4th from 9:00 – 11:00 AM, the time of her funeral service at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Rev. Jerome G. Botsko will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
