Obituary for John F. Hudak

John Fletcher Hudak, 75, of Alverda, died Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born August 23, 1942 in Clymer, he was the son of the late John F. Hudak, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Fletcher) Hudak.

John was a graduate of Penns Manor High School. He also attended classes for two years at Monmouth College, Monmouth, New Jersey. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He had worked for the Red Devil Tool Company as a technical recruiter and later as a dispatcher for the S.W. Jack Drilling Company.

John enjoyed bowling during his younger years. He also liked watching football and baseball games, especially the Steelers and Pirates. He also belonged to the Dixonville Moose.
Most recently, John took the trip of a lifetime this year when he embarked on a Hawaiian cruise this past summer with his childhood friend, Sandy.

He was a member of St. Michael Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Clymer.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews, among those are Chuck and Nan who helped care for John in recent years and his four footed friends, Max and Callie.

In honoring John’s wishes, funeral arrangements will be private. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer is assisting with the arrangements.
