Charles F. Mergenthaler, 89, of Heilwood died Wednesday morning, May 9, 2018 at his home. Born in Gibsonburg, OH, Sunday, September 23, 1928, he was a son of the late Clyde Mergenthaler and Anna Marie (Diels) Mergenthaler. He married Esther C. (Repine) Mergenthaler, June 5, 1973.

He will be missed by his wife of nearly 45 years and by his grandchildren: Esther Long, Heilwood and Donna Lindley, Clymer. His surviving great grandchildren are: Esther Keith, Aaron Lindley, Emily Lindley and Edwin Stumbaugh-Lindley. He is also survived by great great grandchildren: Helena and Beau Keith.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Edwin Stumbaugh, who died in 2012 and by three other siblings.

A graveside funeral service will begin at 11AM Saturday, May 12th at the family cemetery, located on their land near their home on Glenn Lane, Cherryhill Twp.

Service arrangements are with the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer.
