Obituary for David Gaston

David M. Gaston, 61, Dixonville, passed on from this world, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Scenery Hill Manor, in Indiana. Born in Cleveland, OH, September 24, 1956, he was a son of the late, Larry Gaston, who died June 16, 1988 and Mary (Sarnovsky) Gaston, who died June 5, 2018.

David was a former tree arborist. He enjoyed fishing, being with his dog Ace and anything to do with Cleveland. He loved Cleveland, and especially liked cheering for the Cleveland Browns. He also loved his family and especially the time he had with his companion of the last five years, Rose Lowman.

He served his country as a member of the Unites States Army.

David will be remembered by his children: Sandy A. Walmer and Mandy Smith, both of Potter County, and by Brittany Gaston of Home, PA. He will be missed by his brother, Anthony P. “Tony” Gaston (Tina), Indiana; sister-in-law, Wanda (Brady) Gaston, Barr Slope and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence “Larry” J. Gaston, who passed, February 22, 2017; niece, Ashli Gaston who passed June, 7, 1998 and nephew, Joseph A. Gaston who passed, July 23, 2014.

There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A Celebration of Dave’s Life has been scheduled for Saturday, September 22nd at a time to be announced at the social hall in Tanoma. All of David’s family and friends are invited to attend. An updated obituary will be published in mid-September.
