Joseph E. Morganti, who was known as Joey by his family and friends, 67, of Indiana, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Cambria Care Center in Ebensburg. Born September 18, 1951 in Indiana, he was a son of the late Joseph Morganti and Josephine (Zoffuto) Morganti.

Joey was a custodian at IUP for more than 35 years. He spent many holidays, birthdays and other celebrations with his cousins, Joanne, Susan (deceased) and Joseph Adamsky, all of Indiana and Jack Palilla and his family of Pittsburgh. He also enjoyed cooking. His specialty was spaghetti and meatballs. Upon retiring, Joey did not drive, he would take early morning walks to the 4th Street Sheetz where he enjoyed talking with people while having coffee and donuts. When weather permitted, he would walk over to visit with his friends at Tire Express.

Joey was a social member of the American Legion in Indiana, Post 141.

In addition to his relatives named above, he was survived by his sister-in-law, Patty Morganti; niece, Teresa Morganti and great nephew, Dylan Underwood, all of Pittsburgh.

Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Morganti, and Josephine Morganti.

A Memorial Service will be held December 1, 2018 at 2PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Burial of his cremated remains will be held at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.
