Obituary for Roberta "Bertie " Owens
Roberta “Bertie” Owens, 80, of Indiana, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Beacon Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Indiana. Born September 23, 1938 in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Charles Herbert Owens and Geneva (Smith) Owens.
Bertie spent over 20 years with Community Living and Learning, enjoying her time there. She lived a long and happy life, especially treasuring her family and friends.
She’ll be remembered by her niece, Marjorie Smith (Mike), Safety Harbor, FL; nephews: Dick Owens, Safety Harbor, FL; and Bob Owens, Clearwater, FL; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bertie was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Owens and his wife Louise, and her niece Susie Owens.
Friends will be received Tuesday afternoon, December 11th from 1 until 3 PM, the time of her funeral service at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Pastor Ben Fitzgerald will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
