Obituary for Robert Sandor
Robert Sandor, 76, of Marion Center, died peacefully Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born in Johnstown on May 11, 1942, he was a son of the late John Sandor and Anna (Kuharcik) Sandor. For 51 years, he was the devoted husband of Elaine (Kocher) Sandor.
Robert was employed as a Federal Food Inspector for many years after serving in the United States Army.
An avid outdoorsman, he loved to go hunting and fishing. Robert also loved to cheer on Pittsburgh sports teams.
He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest.
He will be missed by his wife, Elaine Sandor, Marion Center; his children: Brian Sandor, Marion Center; and Debra Scheeser (Brian), Baldwin. He will also be remembered by his granddaughters: Amanda and Sara, and his brother, Ronald Sandor (Janet), Johnstown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Stephen Michael, his grandson Kevin Scheeser, and his sister, Joanne Thoben.
Friends will be received, Wednesday, December 26th from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest. Rev. Father George Saletrik will officiate. A private burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Geistown.
