Obituary for Delsa J. Duffy

Delsa Joann Duffy, 75 of Indiana and formerly of Clymer, died Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the Communities at Indian Haven where she had resided for the past ten years. Born in Indiana, January 18, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Donald Owen Lee Duffy and Delsa Ruth (Wyland) Duffy.

Delsa worked as a homemaker, raising her family. She loved her children, especially her grandchildren, as well as her niece Diana and her great nieces and great nephews. She loved them all. Delsa also loved Elvis Presley, nearly as much as she loved her own family. She was without a doubt, one of Elvis’s biggest fans. She also enjoyed the natural beauty of flowers.

She will be missed by her children: Ruth Barkey, Homer City and Delsa Ferguson (Joe), Indiana. Others remembering Delsa are her two grandchildren; her niece, Diana Gibble (David), Oswayo; and several great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Delsa was preceded in death by two brothers: David Owen Lee Duffy, Jr and David Carl Duffy. She was also preceded by her nephew, Donald Roy Duffy.

Visitation is Monday, April 22st from noon until 1PM, the time of funeral service at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer. Rev. Joan M. Sabatino will officiate. Burial will be in the Taylorsville Cemetery.
