Obituary for Amelia Territo

Amelia (Uzzo) Territo, 101, of Indiana, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana. She was born in 1917 to John Uzzo and Angeline (Tucci) Uzzo, in Jefferson County.

Amelia loved baking and was a champion apple pie baker in Indiana County for several years. She was well known for her delicious pies, bread, and cinnamon rolls. Amelia was an avid bowler for many years and was proud to be the oldest sanctioned bowler in Western Pennsylvania. She also loved to play the lotto.

She was a cook for many years at the Campus Grill on Philadelphia Street, she was also employed by Indiana Upholstery, worked as a beautician, and most recently was employed at Bi Lo Market, Indiana.
She was a member of St. Thomas More University Parish, Indiana. She was also a member for CD of A for over 75 years.

Amelia is survived by her children: Michael “Mickey” Territo, Madison, OH; Richard Territo, Farmington Hills, MI; and Judy Haberkorn (Arnie), Indiana. She will also be missed by her grandson, AJ Haberkorn III (Allison), and great grand-daughter, Adelyn Haberkorn, Greensburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Territo. The following siblings: Eleanor DeFeo, Sister Judith Uzzo, RSM, Rose Uzzo, Matthew Uzzo, and Joseph Uzzo.

Friends will be received, Monday, April 29th from 3 until 7 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 30th at 10 AM at St. Thomas More University Parish, Indiana. Rev. Father Alan Polcynski will officiate. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery.
