Obituary for Shirley M. Buterbaugh (Lyle)
Shirley M. (Lyle) Buterbaugh, 93, of Clymer, died, Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana. Shirley was born June 16, 1925 in Clymer, and was a daughter of the late, David Lyle and Myrtle (Daugherty) Lyle. She was the widow of the late Grey Buterbaugh, Jr.
Shirley retired from Season All Industries, was a homemaker, and a member of the Clymer United Methodist Church.
She’ll be remembered by her two children: James Buterbaugh and his wife, Laura, Melbourne, FL and William Buterbaugh and his wife, Yvonne, Mertztown. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: Toby Buterbaugh (Lajena), Reisterstown, MD; Ashlee Buterbaugh, Ebensburg; Angela Fletcher (Rob), Americus, GA; Renee Langham (Brent), Pace, FL; and Erica Buterbaugh, Briningsville; and her great- grandchildren: Quinn, and Grace Buterbaugh, Evelyn, Claire, and Lyla Fletcher, Emma, Ty, and Luke Langham, and Zoey Buterbaugh.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel John Buterbaugh, and her sisters: Emma Lyle, Virginia Lyle, Margaret Lyle, and Roberta Reitz.
Friends will be received Friday, May 10th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, the time of her funeral service, at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home, Clymer. Rev. Kendra Balliet will officiate. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
