Obituary for Clarence Wilson "Sparky" Sparks

Clarence Willson Sparks “Sparky”, passed away on May 20, 2019 at St. Andrews Village. Sparky was born to Clara and Ed Sparks of Clarksburg, WV on December 21, 1918.

He was a Dental Technician for seventy years, starting in Clarksburg, WV before spending 22 years working in Osceola Mills. During World War II he worked in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh making facial prosthesis for the wounded. In 1962 he moved to Indiana and established the Sparks Dental Laboratory, serving dentists throughout the area.

He was a Past Master of Masonic Lodge 515 Osceola Mills. He was also a Shriner in the Altoona Consistry , and a Jester.

He and Bette, his late wife of 66 years were active Scout Leaders. He was a Civil Defense Appointee and sat on the Borough Council in Osceola Mills. They were members of the Grace United Methodist Church in Indiana. In retirement they traveled the world.

He is survived by two sons: David E. Sparks, D.D.S. and Daniel W. Sparks, both of Indiana. Five grandchildren: Sarah Kreutzberger, Deltona, FL; Steven Sparks, Indiana; Stephanie Sparks, St. Petersburg, FL; Amanda Doyle, Salt Lake City, UT; James Sparks, Indiana and seven great grandchildren.

He was a Gentleman, devoted husband and father. He lived a long and happy life. He will be missed!

The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana assisted with the cremation arrangements. No services are planned.
