Obituary for James W. Skidmore III

Our son was born on a Sunday, free of tattoos at 5 pounds and 4 ounces. It was Pearl Harbor Day and the day before John Lennon was assassinated. Our beautiful boy was brilliant. He was kind, well-liked, connected with all people and so, made friends easily. He was our only child, and we will miss him so much.

Thank you to all who tried to help him, who were his true friends and who loved him. We will all remember his wit, his facebook sermons, his appreciation of the “best evers,” and his generosity.

Life with Jimmy was full of highs and lows. Such extremes caused intense pain, but OH! so much Happiness. He lived with more people in his 38 years than anyone, we imagine.
Skidz touched people, you remembered him. He was a fiancé to Cassandra Jo; he loved her, and she him. To us, he was Jimmy; the boy who ended every call with I love you.

To respect our son’s wishes, there will be no visitation. We ask you to judge people as individuals, not by stereotypes or computer print-outs. Listen to your soul and the Holy Spirit for guidance. You could be missing out on the best employee, tenant or friend. Jimmy, maybe you can help the Dallas Cowboys get back to the Super Bowl. We know you will be Cassandra Jo’s Guardian Angel.

Forever 38; We love you,
Love you, too.
