Obituary for Luke Thomas Fishel

Luke Thomas Fishel, 31, of Indiana, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his residence. Born in Chesapeake, Virginia, he was a son of Floyd J. Fishel, Jr. and Amy (Peterman) Fishel, of Indiana.

Luke was a graduate of Marion Center High School. He worked at Flemming’s Christmas Tree Farm and also did masonry work alongside his father.

He loved hunting and was an avid sports fan. He played baseball and football and especially liked watching Pittsburgh sports teams and Penn State football. He also enjoyed his time spent with his many friends. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, his kind heart, and for his love of animals.

Luke was a member of Club Savoy, and of the Sons of the American Legion, Homer City.

In addition to Luke’s parents, he is survived by his siblings: Floyd J. Fishel, III, Indiana; and Amber Catherine Fishel, Clymer. He will also be missed by his Paternal Grandmother, Marilyn Ann Fishel, Clymer; his nephew, Kaidyn Fishel, and many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Catherine Peterman and Arthur Peterman, Sr, his Paternal Grandfather, Floyd J. Fishel, Sr., and infant cousin, Lydia Bennett.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 8th from 2 until 5 PM, with the funeral service to directly follow at the Rairigh- Bence Funeral Home, of Indiana. Rev. Kendra Balliet will officiate.
