Obituary for Mildrid M. Morganti (Carpenter)
Mildred M. “Millie” (Carpenter) Morganti, 90, of Indiana, passed away peacefully September 25, 2019, at Rose Haven Personal Care Home, Indiana. Born, May 2, 1929 in Johnstown, to Paul Carpenter and Frances (Califiore) Carpenter, she married her longtime friend and love, Anthony C. Morganti, in April 1948, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Millie worked for many years as a baker and cake decorator for Penn Traffic in Indiana. Her passions included love of family, baking for her family and friends for holidays and special occasions, crocheting, and shopping and finding a good bargain.
She was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana, and Sons of Italy 1279, Indiana.
Millie is survived by her sons: Anthony C. Morganti Jr. (Carol) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Paul F. Morganti (Karen) of Mystic, CT; and Richard A. Morganti, of Indiana; grandchildren: David Morganti, Tadd Morganti, Amy Chappel, Michael Morganti, Bryan Morganti, Mikayla Sawchuk, Anthony Maxwell Morganti, Maria Morganti and Robert Mitchell Morganti; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law: Josephine Carpenter and Margaret Carpenter.
In addition to her parents and husband, Millie is preceded in death by her siblings: Charles Carpenter, Paul Carpenter Jr., Samuel Carpenter, Angie Rizzo, Florence Pinkatore, Josephine Zagaria, Rosie Schrock, and Minnie Salvia.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Interment was held at St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana. The Morganti family is being assisted by the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana
