Obituary for Patricia Mae Langham Helman (Gromley)
Patricia Mae (Gromley) Langham Helman, 87 of Indiana died Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born May 7, 1932 in Starford, she was a daughter of the late Murray F. Gromley and Martha L. (Fleeger) Gromley.
Patricia married Franklin R. Langham and they moved to Passaic, New Jersey. They were married seven wonderful years, raising three daughters before he died of cancer.
Years later she moved back to Pennsylvania, remarried and had her fourth daughter.
Patricia worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Clymer for many years and also at the Indiana Regional Medical Center where she worked in housekeeping until her retirement.
She is survived by her four daughters: Linda K. Clawson (Chip); Connie K. Langham; Francine M. Schroth (Bob); Mona L. Adams (Tim) and a step-son, Robert Helman, Jr. Other survivors include her eight grandchildren: Rhonda Hill (Rick); Kim Weaver (Dave); Jill Bugal (Mike); Janelle Newhouse ( Pete); Robert Schroth, Jr. (Sarah); Noelle Patterson (Derek); Hailey Janosko (Tim); Marina Adams. Patricia’s sixteen great grandchildren are: Jordan, Reilly and Maggie Hill; Maddie, Sam and Abby Weaver; Taryne and Tenley Kish; Jacob and Hudson Schroth; Bentley,Andie and Amelia Patterson; Adalynn, Colton and Connor Janosko.
She will also be remembered by her sister, Velma D. O’Hara; sisters-in-law: Grace Gromley, Cheryl Gromley and Joan Eckenroad (Wayne) and brother-in-laws Jack Langham (Marie) and Lloyd Patterson
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her great granddaughter Rosalie Grace Janosko; her stepson, Mike Helman; step-father, Clair Houck; brothers, Raymond F. and Dennis Gromley; two infant brothers; brother-in-law, Jack O’Hara; Niece, Vicki Patterson; sister, Janet Patterson.
In accordance to Patricia’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service for her family will be held at a later date.
Cremation at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home Crematory is under the direction of the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer.
