Obituary for Helen Louise Bush (Williams)
Helen Louise Bush, (Williams) 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home.
Helen was born on April 30, 1922 to Luther S. and Dortha (Heberling) Williams in White Township, Indiana County.
Helen married the love of her life, Wendell Eugene “Gene” Bush on November 15, 1944. They made their home in Rayne Township where she lived until moving to Crystal Waters. She delighted in making a loving and comfortable home for her family. She enjoyed sewing, travel, crafts, and spoiling her grandchildren with cookies.
She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a good friend and neighbor to many. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Richard (Shirley) Bush, Indiana, and Timothy (Sonya) Bush, Cumming, Georgia. Grandchildren, Tracey (Eric) McEldowney, Richard (Malinda) Bush, Michael (Amanda) Bush, Robert (Haley) Bush, Elise (Jason) Myers. Great-Grandchildren, Matthew McEldowney, Benjamin McEldowney, Sarah Bush, Mary Bush, Collins Myers and Gus Myers.
Helen was a faithful and active member of Grove Chapel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for over forty years. She also was a member of the Women's Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, helping make apple butter and soup for fund raisers and served as a eucharistic minister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sister, Virginia Bernard.
The funeral service for Helen’s immediate family will be held at the Rairigh- Bence Funeral Home, of Indiana. Interment will be at the Grove Chapel cemetery.
