Obituary for George Edward Kubala

George Edward Kubala, 90, of Indiana died Saturday, May 24, 2020 at the Indiana Square Personal Care Home. Born on September 7, 1929 in Iselin, he was a son of the late, Steffon Kubala and Amelia (Brozowsky) Kubala.

George served his country during the Korean War as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Following his military discharge, George returned home and began a 35 year career on the Chevrolet assembly line in Tonawanda, NY, retiring in 1991.

For his enjoyment, he often went to the horse track to “watch the ponies” as he would call it. He also enjoyed visiting the casino’s.

George was a member of the American Legion Post 141 of Indiana.

He is survived by his siblings: A. Patricia Hathcoate, Jennie Scanlon, Margaret Guiher and James Kubala. Other survivors include his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 other siblings.

George will be interred with Military Honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville. A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date. The Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana is assisting with the service arrangements. Cremation is at the Rairigh-Bence Crematory.
