Obituary for Querino F. "Reno" Cordera

Querino F. “Reno” Cordera, 94, of Indiana, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born in Schenley, PA on June 4, 1926 he was a son of the late Dominick Cordera and Maria (Vaudano) Dominick. He was the widower of Patricia (Patterson) Cordera.

Reno was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist Mate 2nd Class. Following the war, he earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry before working as an engineer, designing and building various bottling plants. Later in his career, Reno was the President of Consolidated Coca Cola in Clearfield.

He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing at the local clubs in the Indiana area. He also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

Reno is sadly missed by: nephew, Robert Cordera, East Amherst, NY; nephew, Richard Romano (Kim), Lower Burrell; and niece, Anita Stoy, Bordentown, NJ.

In addition to his wife and parents, Reno was preceded in death by his siblings: Ida Cordera; Catherine Romano and brother-in-law, Samuel Romano; Martin Cordera and sister-in-law, Irma Cordera.

Friends will be received Monday morning, July 6th from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church, Indiana. Entombment will follow at the Oakland Cemetery Mausoleum. Face masks and social distancing will be required.
