Obituary for Philip "Barry" "Bear" Zimmerman

Philip "Barry" "Bear"  Zimmerman
Philip Barry “Bear” Zimmerman, 55, of Penn Run died suddenly at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Friday, February 28, 2014 shortly after becoming ill at his home. Born in Indiana, PA on May 23, 1958, he was a son of the late, Philip Zimmerman, II and Catherine (Fetterman) Zimmerman. For 37 years he was the husband of Rebekah G. “Becky” (Wilson) Zimmerman, whom he married July 3, 1976.

Barry was a truck driver for 27 years, working for Elkin Concrete and Manufacturing. He had currently been working for Force Trucking of Indiana. Barry was a workaholic who was always busy. However he always had time for his family, especially his four grandchildren.

Barry was a member of the Independent Traditional Holiness Church of Indiana.

He also was a member of the Clymer Slovak Club, as well as a social member of the Clymer American Legion.

In addition to his wife, Becky, Barry is survived by his daughters: Nichole A. Rombaugh & husband, Scott, Indiana and Tina Janosko & husband, Dan, Jr., Clymer. His grandchildren are: Calvin and Hannah Rombaugh, Indiana and Jordan and Cayden Janosko, Clymer. He is also survived by the following siblings: Barbara Helman & husband, Ken, Indiana; Janet Nichol, Indiana; Karen Zimmerman, Indiana; Philip “Sudsey” Zimmerman, III, Clymer; Diane Deyarmin & husband, Ted, Cherry Tree; Sherrie Guskiewicz & husband, Jerry, Indiana; Valerie Fiechuk & husband, Jim, Indiana; Vicki Kanyon & husband, John, Blairsville; and James Zimmerman & wife, Crystal, Clymer. Other survivors include his many nieces and nephews and his very dear friend, Rick Elkin.

Friends will be received Wednesday, March 5th from 3-7 PM at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Clymer. His funeral service will begin at seven o’clock Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Rev. Charles Williamson, his pastor, will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Independent Traditional Holiness Church, 5065 Ferguson Rd., Indiana, PA 15701.
