a friend when I needed one

Last year my dad passed away. At the funeral, Cindy came up to me and told me that Carl asked her to come to dad's funeral and tell me that he was sorry for my loss. He also asked her to tell me that he would have been there in person, but his was out of state working. Carl and I hadn't talked since high school and I was touched that he would remember me. I have plenty of other (friends) that live in or around Indiana and none of them even bothered to show up. Carl was a friend when I needed one and I'll never forget that.May you Carl, my friend , rest in peace
