I hope you're still dancing

My favorite memory of Bugs is from a long time ago. Bill woke up one weekend and decided he wanted to visit, so we did. When we arrived, Jean was out, so we persuaded Bugs to come out for a while. We ended up going to The Hotel in Clymer. The guys were talking and having a few (probably too many) drinks. Someone kept playing the jukebox. A slow song came on and Bugs decided he wanted to dance. He said that he didn’t want to ask anyone there to dance with him. The next thing I knew, there stood Bugs, hands held about shoulder high, eyes closed, swaying back and forth – slow dancing by himself. To this day, 30 years later, every time I hear the song In The Still Of The Night, I think of Bugs slow dancing by himself in that bar, and it makes me smile.
